Nikita's is renowned for its Russian cooking, fine selection of vodkas and lively atmosphere.
In keeping with the legendary Russian love of entertaining, Nikita's has a well deserved reputation as one of the best restaurants for private parties and over the years has played host to many well known faces including the late Princess Margaret, The Beatles, Kate Moss, Elton John and Richard Gere. Diners can choose from five private dining rooms including the two infamous booths known as 'Snitch' and 'Snatch' which can seat from two to six people and are curtained off from the main dining room.
Nikita's menu offers a range of Russian inspired dishes including Beluga caviar with Nikita's signature homemade blinis, Steak Tartar and borscht, the traditional beetroot soup which is made according to the Ukrainian chef's family recipe. These delicious dishes will shatter the myth held by many people that Russian cuisine is bland, heavy and tasteless.
Private parties lend themselves famously to the highly decorated private rooms at Nikita and we can cater for small intimate parties for 2 through to large Groups up to 70. Two Private rooms cater comfortably for 12-14 guests and these are especially popular with groups who want to be sumptuously upholstered and are the perfect setting for a romantic meal for two, or a smaller party up to 6.
Nikita's also offers one of the finest selections of vodka on London sourced by the owners from Russia, Poland and Sweden. At Nikita's, vodka is literally served in blocks of ice and is meant to be drunk throughout the meal, in the true Russian spirit!
The restaurant has recently been refurbished but still retains the distinctive interior inspired by the ornate rich houses seen in Russia, which were originally designed to brighten the long winter nights. At weekends, the atmosphere is completed with live traditional Russian balalaika music, played by Bibs Ekkel who is widely considered as one of the top masters of the balalaika outside Russia.
