June 26th, 2003 - Nikita's were proud to support Elton John's infamous White Tie & Tiara Ball, held at his beautiful home in Windsor, to raise money for the Elton John Aids Foundation.
The grand theme of Faberge and Imperial Russia was recreated to ensure that the guests were able to experience for the night, a fabulously decadent lifestyle which has all but since disappeared. Nikita's famous balalaika player, Bibs Ekkel, serenaded guests to original Russian ballads, whilst Nikita's provided a huge bar built from ice and decorated with giant ice eagles.
Nikita's served Elton John's 450 celebrity guests with its famous fruit vodka shots and caviar and cured salmon blinis, from it's ice bar set in a magical frozen landscape recreated in a formal Italian garden.
Other celebrity guests included Britain's superstar couple, David & Victoria Beckham who flew in specially from Japan to support the Aids Foundation, Dolce & Gabbana were spotted among the glittering array of celebrities and socialites such as Hugh Grant, Elle Macpherson, Dame Judi Dench, The Duchess of York, Kylie Minogue, Samantha Mumba, Lisa Marie Presley, Jade Jagger, Jemima Khan, ...
The objective of the Elton John Aids Foundation is to increase funding for projects which target the prevention of HIV infection and the prevention of the progression of HIV to AIDS, while continuing our support of services for individuals affected by HIV and AIDS.
